The problem is, Casey tried to throw hard science fiction into space opera, the two of which don't mix well because they have 2 completely different feels. The overall themes of the end are illogical, and don't fit with the entire rest of the series... There are numerous plot holes and it's almost devoid of emotion.

Never said they were Rev, I just said that if Bioware was to fire someone it wouldn't be hudson

However, the game has been a Sci-Fi Space Opera from the start, anything that involves us in the future with new technology is Sci-Fi. Problem is, Bioware decided to go matrix on us with all the plot twists at the end, that God kid reminded me a lot of the old guy in the Matrix, surrounded by all those monitors, Tl;DR: They gave us a mindfuck.

Which is why i brought up the genre hard sci-fi. There is soft sci-fi which was mixed in with space opera to give us Mass Effect, but in the end we just got some ripped off matrix/deus ex crap that nobody wanted like you said.

Check this out.

http://www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3- ... e-right/3/

Even their grand theory is bullshit...

The AI controlling the Reapers has sensed that eventually synthetic life will absorb/devour organic life and has introduced a ruthless control mechanism comprised of coordinated galaxy-wide invasion initiatives intended to cleanse the galaxy of the majority of its inhabitants, restarting the cycle and not allowing humanity or anybody else to reach the stage when someone might be able to create synthetic life powerful enough to pose a threat to everyone

Huh ?

Reapers = painful painkillers ? I guess that AI kid can be classified as the Darth Revan of the universe, causing great pain to avoid greater potential suffering in the future

Yeah, that theory was utter crap.

However earlier I heard the reasons for the reapers had something to do with the dark energy, like what was affecting Haestrom's sun. I forget the details, but it was far more feasible than what the god kid came up with. All that hype on dark energy in ME2 goes to crap ._.

That's what happens when you fire your lead writer, Drew Karpshyn, whom originally wrote Mass Effect, as well as wrote KOTOR, the rest of the KOTOR books/comics, and the ME Novels and comics.

Mac Walters was the fill in and was the only lead writer for ME3.
