Hello All,
The Map tools are supposed to be released this Monday, so if you want to join the IA2 team, this is what you need to do....
1: Make a Killer Map in the EaW Tools
2: Set it up to be fully playable
3: Post in the recruitment section
4: Post up the map file/email it to us for evaluation.
Cheers!

It depends on how the map tools are, but i will see what i can do.
Like if you have to set up the areas AI will send its troops along, or areas it will attack, then i wont be able to, since i dont know how to do that.

I'll give it a go though I havent done an RTS map since Empire Earth. Gonna think outside the box on this one and see what I am limited to if I can create my own systems that would be awesome I could do Munilist.

Let me just say, if i did do mapping, they'd probably have to be space maps, I absolutly suck at doing RTS ground maps.

I'll give it a go. If the Alamo tools are similar to the SAGE's, it shouldn't mean re-learning too much stuff.
I made my own maps in Armada 2, so I'll give it a go...

I'm pretty good with Warcraft III world editor and Galactic Battlegrounds editor, so I have a chance at getting on the team. I'm also a little expierienced at BFbuilder.

heres sum info on the map editor AND THE EXPANSION PACK!!
| QUOTE |
Star Wars® Empire at War™: Forces of Corruption™
Following the success of Star Wars: Empire at War, the best-selling PC game of Q1 2006, LucasArts announces an expansion pack titled Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. A widely appealing strategy game, Empire at War let gamers play the light side or the dark side in an epic Galactic Civil War. Now, for the first time ever, Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption introduces a unique point of view – the corrupt side.
The Rebels have just destroyed the Death Star, and the galaxy is in turmoil. As an aspiring Underworld figure named Tyber Zann, spread corruption throughout the galaxy using new strategic gameplay elements to influence other factions, steal their funds, slow their production, spy on them and more, all en route to becoming the most notorious criminal leader since Jabba the Hutt. Exciting new land-tactical options like customizable, upgradeable bases and guerilla warfare allow for innovative battlefield tactics. Take command of and confront new fighting units for all factions (Rebel B-wings, Imperial TIE interceptors, Darth Vader's Executor Super Star Destroyer and more), and take down anyone who stands in your way of ruling the Underworld, be they new battlefield heroes like Luke Skywalker and Yoda or the forces of your most bitter rival – Jabba. Destroy capital ships with the awesome firepower of the second Death Star, and satiate Tyber's drive for the deadliest capital ship in the galaxy, a devastatingly powerful Super Star Destroyer known as the Eclipse.

Hey there!
Well, I have some good news and some bad news. Let me give you the bad news first, so we can end on a high note. I got this response from Shawn Storc this morning. He's the new producer on EAW:
For immediate release:
Community Reps, Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the 1.04 patch for EAW did not come together in time for a pre-E3 release. We are confident that the multiplayer and save/load issues standing in the way of release will be resolved shortly and we can spend the rest of this week conducting a thorough battery of tests to insure a clean patch. We are confident that it will be worth the wait as we will also have the map editor available soon that will allow you to expand your Empire At War experience As always, thank you for your support, enthusiasm and patience.
Cheers! Shawn Storc Producer – Star Wars: Empire at War
Ok so they're saying not this week for the patch and editor now. However, I think this is the first time I've seen LucasArts try to keep us in the loop on anything, so I'd like to ask the community here and elsewhere that we cut LucasArts and Petroglyph some slack on this one. Besides E3 is like the big giant elephant on the couch and there isn't much you can do about it getting in your way and slowing down progress on things like patches.
Aside from that, some good news!
The official Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption Expansion Pack (Say that 5 times fast!) E3 press release went out and I'll post it here in the forums for all to see in a few minutes. They also said that the trailer will be available on the net very soon. I take that to mean during E3 if not tomorrow morning, but don't quote me on that.
SageKing-PG will be passing along the info as we get it. Feel free to check out any of his posts on PFF as well.

I am sooooooooooooo sick of waiting, I come home expecting to find the editor, only to find that those procrastinating lazy nerds at petroglyph decided to count their money instead of doing what they promised to do.

You can't be suprised. What they SHOULD have done and didn't was just not say they were realeasing it until it was ready.
I'm just now hearing about PetroGlitch, so I don't know there reputation but I know Lucascrap does at least SOMEWHAT better than this. The entire team is full of let downs, instead of helping better the game or realeasing the tools, they're investing in an expansion with a sh**y plot.
I'm losing faith in this team faster and faster.

So what if they're breaking the norm, at least they aren't recycling recycled ideas. Besides, I thought a modded game was better than the orignal game.
