I have never even played the original Starcraft, and even though I do not have the computer that can even handle this SC 2 game, tell me, from someone who actually got the game or has played the orginal, is it any good? I'm curious as to what it has because I've heard stuff about SC being the king of rts and other stuff.

Starcraft 1 was awesome.
The storyline, gameplay...
Everything falls perfectly together.
(Sound like a fanboy right now...)

Yes! Blizzard rocks... great storylines and great gameplay.
You really don't need a kick@ss computer to play (although it certainly helps) - they want as many people to be able to play as possible
See system requirements
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starcraft_2Starcraft is one of those games that is easy to learn but hard to master (esp if you play competitive multiplayer)
The single player is enough for me, since I don't play enough to master multiplayer

If I ever got into it, I would go back and play the old game. But I dont have that kind of time to play that much anymore

Just so you know, the Starcraft 2 installer has a decent recap of the events from the first game. So you don't need to play through it if you just want to get into the storyline

o/ starcraft.
Anyway, another great game like this was Freelancer, if anybody here remembers it was made in '03, and had a great story and great gameplay and graphics etc. I may make a new thread about this

I haven't played starcraft in a while, so I may play it again to refresh my memory of it.
