The main purpose of this thread, is basically to list what you will and will not do in the days before reach...

On September 7th, my count-down will officially begin. 7 days until Halo: Reach comes out. Not sure exactly what I will do- but I plan to play all of the halo games I can, alone or not.

I'll remember all of the great times Halo has given me over the years. The couple of friendships I've made from having interest in the same game, and on September 14th, I'll officially retire all of my campaign discs, put them in their rightful cases, stack them right next to my Master Chief Legendary helmet, and right next to my newest Noble-Team statue.

I simply just can't wait for Halo: Reach. This game will be amazing, and I will play it for a very, very long time. About three years ago, I predicted that I would play Halo 3 for a very, very, very long time.

I was right.

With new maps coming out every few months, my best friend coming over on the weekends and playing Halo with me, and now, playing Halo 3 online... I'm glad that Bungie makes such great games.

Some people don't like Halo. Some people HATE Halo. Then you've got those who love it to no end, but of course, realize it's flaws. I'm one of those guys. Will I get a Tattoo of Master Chief on myself? Oh, of course not.

I'm not a "liver". But, I am a huge, huge fan of Halo. It'll always hold a special place in my heart.

If it wasn't clear enough already, Halo is my favorite game series ever. Mass Effect is wonderful, the Star Wars games are great, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is fun as all hell, but really..? Honestly?

As far as life, and longevity, and absolute replayability, with a great, balanced sandbox and awesome gameplay? Nothing really does compare to Halo.

So, I'm gonna' play all of the games I've got, do a few online matches, and just revel in the awesomeness that is, HALO.









Well, now that the geek got out, what are you planning to do with Halo: Reach on the midnight release? Are you going to play all of the games? Are you going to get your friends together for a big, Halo:CE Esque LAN party like in the Good old days? Are you going to just wait?

What will you do, IA2 forum?

I'm in a worst case scenario, trying to scrap up money to both buy a console that supports the game and the game itself.

yeah, I have a ps3.... and unless they decide to release it on pc like the first two, I dont think I'll be playing it

I liked it better when games weren't restricted to one console, but Microsoft has become just so fucking paranoid that it ruins gaming.

Face it. The XBOX 360 has more games. And Microsoft can afford contracts that keep it on THEIR console, and theirs only.

I don't know why you worship Sony/Playstation stuff. You remember how crazy-pricey the PS3 was at first, right? Like... 800 bucks, was it? The 360 was HALF that, and had better release titles.

The 360 STILL has better titles, and backwards compatability is on EVERY 360. Also, no features are removed from the XBOXs to cut off 100 or so dollars.

Well, okay. The new one has some extra features, but still. It costs just as much as a normal 360, and it's better anyways.

Point is, the 360 is just... Better.

Saying the 360 is better is just an opinion. Basically, everybody has a new thing "LETS ALL COPY OFF THE PS3!!!". Nintendo stole the Netflix from the PS3, Microsoft took the blu-ray thingy... Or was that the Surfing Internet?

Thing is, Sony is atleast original, but the other two main companies are all about copying off each other.

The PS3 is better because it serves multiple functions, and you don't need an elite version for it not to overheat. You can watch movies on the PS3, surf the web for free, watch netflix, download music, videos, and a whole lot more.

If you fully experienced the PS3, you would definately say it is better than the 360. The 360 only beats the PS3 in one part: It has more video games. The PS3 does not care about quantity of games but rather quality, so we have all the quality games on the PS3.

umm...original? In case you haven't noticed, both MS and Sony are copying Nintendo these days...

and the PS3 is only better technically (as in, hardware). it's game selection is worse than the 360, and they both have all the same type of internet stuff, except XBL doesn't do surfing.

The only original company right now is Nintendo.

But back on topic. Reach looks kick ass. I've played Halo back since Halo 2 (I owned a PS2 before my friend made me see the light ) and though I've never been one of those awesome "Pro" matchmaking gamers I've loved the custom games and remember playing the original zombie... *sighs nostalgically The whole Halo story and game is just fun. To all of you who don't own xbox's find a friend who does and mooch of him/her and see how fun it is.

I had a Gamecube. But after I played Halo, I had to give up the Gamecube. I just couldn't go on without MY HALOZZZ.

Gamecube was bomb

It was small, portable, and still had excellent quality games. It had smash bros, Star Fox, etc.

I think the gamecube was the best of its time, since it was so small yet it could do so much. And it's idea of storing data on cards was good.

Whenever I went on vacation, I usually brought my cube with me because it is so portable.
