I recently was told something I couldn't believe.

R2-D2 is in the latest Star Trek movie.

Don't believe it? Neither did I, but it was my girlfriend who told me so I had to see for myself
and lo-and-behold THERE HE WAS.... floating in space debris. For those who haven't seen the movie I will not elaborate on specifics. (hate spoilers and hypocrites XD ) Around the end of the dodging they will be coming out of debris. Slow down after Spock close-up and watch R2 fly by. Slowing down is necessary because the scene is very fast. (about 3 or 4 frames)

If anything, this is the closest we will ever get to a Star Wars vs. Star Trek movie...... ever

Um... ILM has always put little Star Wars references in Star Trek. The reverse for Star Wars films.. though I could only see one reference in EPIII.

... oh.......... um... wel that just ruined it now didn't it....

well it's true. he's in there for about a split second. Can really only see him if your paying attention to that part of the screen. (lower left)

Um.. however ILM isn't the only ones to do these kinds of easter eggs. In Star Trek Elite Force (first one). There is a piece of a lamba shuttle and a chunk of a ISD in the debris field. Also common knowledge now adays to anyone who watched First Contact, that the Millennium Falcon appears in the background of the battle at the beginning of the movie. Again.. thanks to ILM.

Really? I only was ever a Voyager fan....thought about picking up Elite Force or Elite Force II. Is it worth it, darkwedge?
