So, onto the question!
Well, I have had this idea for a while now. Basically, its for capital ships in space, or ships that have hardpoints. So, the idea is making moveable guns on the spaceships which turn to attack the enemy, now obviously, this may be a slight gameplay changing idea (due to the time it takes to move the turret around, you could have all enemy batteries targeting you), but its more for aesthetic purposes.
Now, I thought this would be a really cool idea to add into IA2 or RAW, even though its nearly finished. And even if it isn't possible to put in at this time, what about general discussion on whether it is even possible to implement into EAW.

Well, at least its possible! How long do you think it would be before a mod with fully edited GCW ships with moveable turrets will be released? Or even if the Ia2 and RAW team would release how they did it? Or would you guys like to keep this private?

It's a good idea, but there would need to be separate animations for each turret

it already exist several mods with moveable turrets. Its nothing hard to do if u know how to.

Well, then I guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to do it lol. If I find any tutorials on how to do it, I'll post them here for the rest of you to see. Hopefully it'll help by spreading the knowledge.

Good Idea Marksman26, yeah movable turrets are preety nice touches to a ship, kinda weird when a star destroyers guns are not pointing were they are shooting

really? REALLY?! I THOUGHT THE IA2 TEAM WAS A BUNCH 'O MIRACLE WORKERS, WITH THE DETAIL, AND THE MODELS!!! BUT I GUESS NOT!!! THE PPL AT SIERRA MADE HOMEWORLD WITH SHIPS THAT HADE MOVING GUNS!!!! I saw something that said you have to be street legal to get in. Does that mean that if you are registered offroad only that they will not let you in?

Question about transfering the serial #
Hi,
I have a Romak 992 single stack trunnion with #s on it, and wondered if I could transfer those #s to the home built receiver, then destroy the old trunnion??
